Once again the reaction to the REEVESdesign stand was a fantastic success; the much admired Caprice bed was likened to something from a Tim Burton movie to a piece of "sheer artistic beauty".

It's one year on since REEVESdesign exhibited at the ICFF and I've been able to catch up with projects worked on over the last year. Top of the list was to pop down to the Lower East Side, near SOHO, NOLITA and TRIBECA and check out the two large custom mirrors that REEVESdesign produced for the Hotel on Rivington's restaurant, “Thor”. The interior of the restaurant was designed by Marcel Wanders, however on reflection, the proprietor wanted two panoramic mirrors, 3 and half meters x 1 meter to be hung along two large blank walls.

After not being able to source them anywhere, Mr Herve from Thor spotted the Louis mirror on the REEVESdesign stand at the ICFF in 2007. I was commissioned to produce the two mirrors. Designed as one lacquered frame; two pieces of toughened glass with a silver leaf eglomise mirror finish sit proportionally inside.

It was a pleasure to walk in off the street and see them from the roadside adding drama and impact to the space. Unfortunately I did not have my camera on me so I had to make do with my trusty mobile phone ;-)

I'll will be showcasing the new CAPRICE BED at the ICFF this May 17 - 20.

Made from 100% recycled aluminium with a raw sand cast zinc patina finish. Dressed by award winning British textile designer, Kirsty Powell, her pillow cases, cushions and throws will compliment the bed.

We look forward to your visit at the Jacob K Javitts Centre, New York, Hall 1 – D, booth number 618.
