Ten years ago I was able to visit and work with a number of textile factories, it was very clear that there is an awful lot of waste as over runs, off cuts and rejects in the garment and textile industry.

Tongue chairs are playful, comfortable and have a charming elegance that's full of character.
Compound curves are wrapped with plump padding and stitched aniline leather* upholstery complete with a single button detail that pays homage to the notional heritage of the leather chair. The intention was to create a chair that captures a soft contrast to hard edges and upon completion of the first sample, the form itself gave way to the name Tongue.

Splash tables are inspired by a playful desire to add a dash of vibrancy and colour to a room without overwhelming it. An unapologetic characterful splash whose very self-aware splat shaped top and trickle down tapering legs sit in anticipation of vibrant fun.
